I am spending time walking through the Gospels from beginning to end, looking for the moments where Jesus leaned in, lifted up, and loved without hesitation. I want to understand how His grace works in everyday life and what it invites me to become.

There is something surprisingly intimate about Jesus shifting from teaching crowds to praying out loud. He thanks the Father for revealing truth not to the powerful or polished, but to those willing to receive it with open hands. Wisdom hidden in plain sight. Strength disguised as simplicity.
Then Jesus turns to the people listening and speaks words that feel almost like a whispered invitation. Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. I imagine weary shoulders lifting, hearts softening, people wondering if rest could really be for them.
And I could not help but think about how often we carry more than we should. Expectations, worries, responsibilities, the quiet weight of trying to hold everything together. Yet Jesus offers something different. A yoke that does not crush. A burden that does not break. A way of living that feels more like companionship than pressure.
Maybe that is why these verses linger long after the page turns. They remind me that rest is not a luxury. It is a promise. A gentle rhythm of trust, offered by the One who knows how heavy life can be.
Key Verse:
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
